What we collect when you use RaidHost, why we use it, and the rights you have.
Who we are
RaidHost.gg (https://raidhost.gg) is operated by Saleso Innovations AS, a company registered in Norway. For this policy, “we”, “us”, and “RaidHost” mean Saleso Innovations AS.
We are the data controller for personal data processed through RaidHost.gg. To ask a question or exercise a privacy right, email business@saleso.technology.
What this policy covers
This policy explains what we collect when you use RaidHost.gg and the RaidHost World of Warcraft addon, why we use it, who we share it with, and the rights you have under the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.
This is a product-accurate description of how RaidHost works today. It is not a substitute for legal advice.
Account and Battle.net data
The only way to create an account is to sign in with Battle.net. We never see or store your Battle.net password.
When you sign in, Battle.net gives us an account identifier and your BattleTag. We use that identifier to create and recognize your RaidHost account. Battle.net does not give us your real email address. We store a synthetic placeholder email so our auth system can keep a unique login record.
We store Battle.net OAuth access and refresh tokens on the server so we can import and refresh your World of Warcraft characters. Those tokens are not sent to your browser.
You can set a display name on your RaidHost profile. That name is shown to other players on raids, teams, messages, and signups.
Character and game data
If you import characters, we store identity and armory data from Blizzard: name, realm, region, class, spec, race, faction, level, item level, equipment, talents, statistics, and character media URLs.
That data belongs to the character, not only to your login. Raid hosts and other players can see it when you offer that character for a raid, appear on a roster, or share a character profile link.
Warcraft Logs
Linking a Warcraft Logs Fresh profile is optional. If you do, we fetch and cache performance, progression, report, and identity data through our API worker so raid hosts can review it on RaidHost instead of opening another tab.
Unlinking or deleting your account removes the RaidHost copy of that cache. It does not change your Warcraft Logs account.
Raids, teams, and other content you create
To run the product we store the raids you create or join, signups and roster choices, team membership, soft and hard reserves, invite codes, in-app alerts, and raid messages you write.
A raid may include an optional Discord invite URL that you paste yourself. We do not connect to Discord with OAuth and we do not run a Discord bot.
The addon does not talk to RaidHost from inside World of Warcraft. Raid and reserve snapshots reach the game only through import codes and in-group broadcast.
Public links and visibility
Public raids appear on the raid browser for the matching game version, region, and realm. Anyone can open them without signing in.
Private raids are visible to the host, people who joined with the invite link, and members of the raid’s team. Do not share an invite link if you want the raid to stay private.
Soft reserve boards at share URLs and character profiles at share URLs are visible to anyone who has the link. Treat those URLs like a public page.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember that you have opened the app. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies today. Details are in our Cookie Policy.
Who we share data with
We use other companies to run RaidHost. They only process data so we can provide the service:
Convex hosts our database, backend, and authentication. Vercel hosts the website. Railway hosts the API worker that talks to Blizzard and Warcraft Logs. Blizzard / Battle.net provides sign-in and character data. Warcraft Logs provides optional parse data. Wowhead may be contacted from your browser for item tooltips. Character art and icons may load from Blizzard’s content network.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it for advertising.
How long we keep data
We keep account, character, and raid data while you use RaidHost and as long as it is needed to operate raids other players still rely on.
You can ask us to delete your account by emailing us. We then remove your login, Battle.net tokens, characters, signups, roster rows, reserves, messages, alerts, and team memberships.
Raids and raid series you hosted may remain so other players do not lose a night they already signed up for. After deletion those listings are no longer tied to your account.
Your rights
If you are in the EU/EEA or Norway, you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict or object to certain processing, and ask for data portability where that right applies.
Email business@saleso.technology and we will handle the request. You can also complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) or your local supervisory authority.
Children
RaidHost is built for World of Warcraft players. You must be old enough to have a Battle.net account and to agree to these terms in your country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age.
International transfers
Saleso Innovations AS is established in Norway. Some processors (including Blizzard, Warcraft Logs, Convex, Vercel, and Railway) may store or access data outside the EEA. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards those providers use for international transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
Changes
We may update this policy when the product or the law changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page will change. The current version always lives at https://raidhost.gg/privacy.
